Sell out Successes throughout this season!
Date: 25 February 2008
Grove Theatre Sell out many performances in the coming months - giving them plenty to celebrate!
Last week the Grove Theatre saw jam packed audiences and delighted children a-plenty as Birmingham Stage Company brought The Horrible Histories to the stage with both The Terrible Tudors and The Vile Victorians.
Those of you who came to watch the shows will remember the amazing energy of the cast and the mind blowing special effects of Bogglevision whereby audience members adorned special glasses and saw amazing 3D effects where hilarious and horrible images seemed to jump out at them right before their eyes! On Saturday night the run ended with a bang with a sell out performance and a terrific applause at the end! What a show!
The success of last week is set to continue for the Grove in the coming months with sales going terrifically on many shows. The Magic of Motown (8 March), One Night with Elvis (23 March) and Madama Butterfly (16 March) are complete sell outs with Illegal Eagles (7 March), Slade, T-Rextasy and Mudd 11 (5 April) and La Traviata (7 May) closely behind. The Richard Digance Show (5 March), C'Mon Everybody (9 March), Over the Rainbow (10 - 12 March) and Oh! What a Night (13 - 15 March) are all at the LAST TICKETS REMAINING stage and are already very full and Basil of the Caribbean (24 March) is doing so well there may be a later performance added for anybody interested in coming that can't make the matinee! That's a lot of full auditoriums!
So it looks like if you want to come to see something at Grove Theatre - it's worth getting tickets early! Other up and coming shows include Bootleg 60's Sight and Sound Show - the best 60's show there is (6 March) and of course The Importance of Being Earnest - our recomended Mothers' day gift and a real must see for anybody interested in theatre. Oscar Wilde's timeless masterpiece is going to be its absolute best when presented by award winning Middle Ground Theatre Company Ltd and with an all star cast starring Tony Britton who has been singled out in reviews for his brilliant performance! Don't miss out - it's on Tuesday 18 - Saturday 22 March.
The excitement of such a successful season is going to continue right up to the very end! On Monday 21 April Grove Theatre are celebrating their FIRST BIRTHDAY and on Tuesday 22 to Saturday 26 April we have a very special production in to help us celebrate! Last but not least - our BRAND NEW SEASON BROCHURE will be released at the start of April and there is a lot to look forward to!
