Grove Theatre Success Stories!

18 Nov 2019

At the Grove Theatre, we believe in nurturing talent and championing the successes of our employees and students. We are therefore thrilled to introduce Jehu, who joined Grove Performing Arts Academy in January 2017 at the age of 10.

In just two and a half years Jehu has transformed from quite a shy and nervous boy into one of our most dedicated and passionate performers playing lead roles and securing a place at Tring Park School for Performing Arts.

Jehu has also recently been talent spotted by a choreographer linked with Urdang Academy and asked to participate in a special project with the potential of gaining a scholarship.  This was while making an appearance in a touring show with his group of fellow Grove Academy students organised by the Grove Education team in collaboration with the touring production company.

Jehu hosted our annual Grove talent show this October along with two fellow students.

Jehu’s focus, determination and sheer talent is incredible.  We are extremely proud of his amazing journey since starting here at the Grove.

At Grove Academy Jehu has been nominated for/won the following awards:

Nomination – Outstanding Effort and Achievement in April 2017

Nomination – Excellent Progress in December 2017

Winner – Excellent Progress in April 2018

Winner – Outstanding Effort and Achievement in December 2018

Nomination – Outstanding Effort and Achievement in April 2019

Grove is a lovely place to be and they give you opportunities to express yourself through drama, singing and dance to improve whilst doing so. Since I started in Jan 2017 my confidence has improved hugely and has given me the skillset needed for the future. The teachers are kind and supportive and my peers are great and funny and some of them are my best friends. Coming here every week is great fun!’ – Jehu age 12
