A Grove Education First: Arts Awards!
9 August 2016
We wholeheartedly believe in the Arts’ ability to inspire, entertain and educate all! Or, in the words of Lucas (an education class participant), we believe “theatre is super awesome!” That’s why we’re always looking to develop and further our programme.
Hundreds of kids race through our doors each week to enjoy our successful education programmes: Grove Youth Theatre, Grove Academy and Disco Duck. These programmes are incredibly important to us as we recognise their intrinsic worth; the classes work to develop participants and shape their outlook on the world in a positive way. Our classes also work to build and strengthen key skills as well as boosting the confidence and self-esteem of participants.
As part of the next step in the Grove journey, we’re delighted to announce that we’ll be running Arts Awards in our education classes from September 2016! What is an Arts Award? These awards inspire young people to grow their arts and leadership talents: it’s creative, valuable and accessible. Arts Awards can be achieved at five levels, four qualifications and an introductory award. We’ll be starting off by running the Bronze and Silver Awards in our Grove Youth Theatre, but, of course, we’ll look to expand from there!
